Autobus - Foto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2014-15_XD40_MTA_NYCT_bus.jpg The buses are white with a blue stripe on the side, are 4,451 and operate in all districts of the city (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island).
The stops are generally located at the corners of the intersections and indicated by a blue round sign with the symbol of a bus and the number of the line. You enter through the front door and you must respect the line to get on board.

The ticket

The same rules apply to local buses as to the subway, while for express bus services the single fare rises to $6.50 and the weekly pass to $57.25.

Where to buy the Metrocard

The sales network is the same as that of the subway.

The Lines

They are marked with a letter followed by a number. The letter indicates the area where the line mainly operates, so M in Manhattan, B in Brooklyn, Bx in Bronx, Q in Queens, S in Staten Island, while X indicates an express bus.
